Patients

If you or a loved one will soon be receiving chemotherapy, and you're seeking information about vascular access ports, you've come to the right place.

We hope to provide some basic information about ports, vascular access, and chemotherapy in this section.  For additional information and health care advice specific to your situation, be sure to talk with your doctor or nurse.

For treatments that involve frequent injections, infusions of medication, the sampling of blood, or the distribution of other fluids directly into your bloodstream, an implanted port can be a great advantage.   Implanted ports make these types of procedures safer, more comfortable, and more effective.

If you have ideas about how to make the port placement process better for patients, concerns you think we should address, or feel that an item needs more explanation, we'd love to hear from you.  Contact us here.

Periodically,  additional patient information and resources are made available via our email mailing list.  If you would like to join and receive these updates, click here.

If you think you are in need of medical attention, please consult with your doctor immediately or contact your local emergency services.

You may use the menu at the left or the quick links to the right to access the information you're looking for.
